At Mountain City Apparel, we’ve always believed that strong communities don’t just happen — they’re built intentionally. Through neighbors showing up. Through mentorship. Through opportunities passed down to the next generation.
That belief is exactly why we created Thread the Love.
And for our newest campaign, kicking off mid-March, we’re proud to partner with Mountain Youth Golf Association (MYGA) — an organization dedicated to growing the game of golf while building character, confidence, and opportunity for young golfers in North Georgia.
More Than a Game

Mountain Youth Golf Association exists to introduce and develop youth golfers in a way that goes far beyond the scorecard.
Through organized play, instruction, and mentorship, the organization helps young players learn discipline, sportsmanship, perseverance, and integrity — lessons that extend well beyond the course. Their mission is centered on accessibility, growth, and creating a positive environment where kids can thrive both as athletes and as individuals.
In a region known for its scenic fairways and mountain views, MYGA ensures the next generation has the opportunity to experience the game in a meaningful, supportive way.
Why Mountain Youth Golf?
For Mountain City Apparel Owner and Co-Founder Ashley Panter, this campaign is deeply personal.
Ashley grew up playing junior golf — a journey that led to breaking high school golf records and earning a collegiate golf scholarship.
“The game didn’t just teach me how to compete,” Panter shares. “It taught me discipline, resilience, confidence, and integrity. It opened doors professionally and remains a lifelong pastime that continues to provide connection and opportunity long after competition ends.”
When the opportunity arose to create a Thread the Love campaign that gives back to the game that has shaped so much of her life, it was an easy yes.
Golf shapes more than swings — it shapes character. Supporting youth golf in North Georgia helps ensure those same lessons and opportunities are available to the next generation.
Tradition with Purpose
For this Thread the Love campaign, we drew inspiration from one of the South’s most iconic spring golf traditions — blending timeless tournament style with unmistakable North Georgia pride.
The design features a playful nod to the beloved tournament gnome set against a scenic mountain golf backdrop. Rolling fairways meet mountain horizons, capturing the charm and anticipation that define golf season in our region.
But this tee isn’t just about celebrating tradition — it’s about investing in the future of the game.
Thread the Love was created to turn t-shirts into tools for change. This limited-edition, co-branded tee is available for 30 days with a clear goal: sell 100 shirts and donate $1,000 to Mountain Youth Golf Association.
Every purchase directly supports youth programs, player development, and continued access to the game for young athletes in North Georgia.
More Than Just a Shirt
When you wear this tee, you’re doing more than honoring the game’s heritage. You’re helping shape its future — right here at home.
We’re excited to roll out more partnerships like this in the coming months — all part of our ongoing mission to use design and storytelling to support the people, places, and nonprofits that define the soul of North Georgia.
